Susan A. Vaughan, OD

In 1985 Dr. Vaughan graduated with her BS in Cellular Biology from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah,Oklahoma. In 1986, she finished training for her EMT License at the Bill Willis Skill Center in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. In May of 1990 she received her Doctor of Optometry degree from NSU College of Optometry and opened her practice in West Siloam Springs. In 2003, she became certified in the therapeutic use of lasers to treat eye diseases and conditions affecting the anterior portion of the eye.

She is a member of the American Optometric Association, Oklahoma's Association of Optometric Physicians. She belongs to the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society and serves as Adjunct faculty at NSU College of Optometry. She is involved with the Siloam Springs Lions Club, American Cancer Society Relay for Life and is a member of the Eastgate Church of Christ. She resides in Siloam Springs with her daughter Madeleine and their dog Sassy.

Dr Vaughan currently serves on the board of the St. Francis Clinic in Siloam Springs. In addition to seeing patients in her office in West Siloam Springs, she also cares for residents of the Westville, Stilwell and Quail Ridge Nursing Homes. She is very involved with childrens vision issues and performs school screenings as well as occasionally working on a consultation basis with local schools and teachers.

She is proud to be a participating physician in the Vision USA and InfantSee programs sponsored by the American Optometric Association.

Marilyn Kimbrow, CPO

Marilyn Kimbrow is Office Coordinator for Dr. Vaughan. She has worked in the health field for 15 years and has been with Dr. Vaughan for 7 years. She moved to Siloam with her family in 1992. The mother of three and grandmother of 4, she loves to spend time with her family and keeps busy with church acitivities at the Eastgate Church of Christ. Marilyn's voice is usually the first you hear when you call our office. She manages the front office, repairs and adjusts glasses, and is business assistant for Dr. Vaughan.

Joyce Neff

Joyce works part time and is responsible for the nice appointment reminders and cards sent out to our patients. She may be calling on you if you are behind on scheduling your examination. She helps check your spectacle orders to ensure they are exact to our specifications before you pick them up. She enjoys meeting patients whom she has spoken to on the telephone and is committed to doing what it takes to ensure that you receive the best possible care and service. Joyce is an active member of the Eastgate church of Christ and works with the Relay for Life activities.

Peggy Maddock

Peggy works in our billing and accounting office and is the person responsible for working to ensure that you get the most from your insurance benefits. She also assists with patients in frame selection and appointments.

Bethany Murphy

Bethany is our newest staff member. She assists with patients during the examination and may help you in choosing your new eyewear.
